Modern Slavery Policy

At Stott O'Connell & Co Ltd trading as Stotts Essential Print & Packaging ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains. We acknowledge our responsibility to ensure ethical practices and respect for human rights in all aspects of our work.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and any other parties working with or on behalf of Stotts Essential Print & Packaging.
3. Definition of Modern Slavery
Modern slavery is a term used to describe offenses including human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, and other forms of exploitation where an individual is coerced, threatened, or deceived into working against their will.

5. Due Diligence Processes
- Supplier Assessment: We conduct thorough assessments of our suppliers to ensure they uphold our standards and values regarding modern slavery.
- Risk Assessment: We regularly assess and monitor the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chains.
- Reporting Mechanism: We have established a confidential reporting mechanism for employees and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery.
6. Supplier Code of Conduct
- Prohibition of Forced Labour: Suppliers must not engage in any form of forced or compulsory labour.
- Fair Working Conditions: Suppliers must provide fair wages and safe working conditions in compliance with local laws and international standards.
- Child Labour: Suppliers must not employ children in any manner that is exploitative or detrimental to their health and education.
7. Training and Awareness
We provide training to all employees to raise awareness about modern slavery and how to identify and report potential cases. This training is part of our onboarding process and is refreshed annually.
8. Monitoring and Review
- Continuous Improvement: We regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and in line with best practices.
- Annual Review: This policy is reviewed annually by the management team to ensure its effectiveness.
9. Reporting Concerns
If any employee, supplier, or third-party suspects that modern slavery is occurring in our business or supply chains, they are encouraged to report their concerns immediately. Reports can be made anonymously and without fear of retaliation.

11. Approval
This Modern Slavery Policy has been approved by the Stotts Essential Print & Packaging management team and is effective as of 1st February 2025.
